The snow retreats further into the highlands, the moss turns bright green again, the rivers begin to flow stronger, and the daylight suddenly never seems to end. The air feels lighter, the landscapes feel alive, and every trail starts calling us back into the wilderness.
This is Iceland’s magical summer season.
From June through September, the Icelandic highlands open up and reveal some of the most remote and breathtaking riding terrain in the world. Endless daylight allows us to spend full days exploring volcanic deserts, hidden mountain trails, black sand valleys, lava fields, volcanic crater viewpoints, and remote tracks far beyond where ordinary travelers ever reach.
At Arctic Trailblazers, summer is all about creating unforgettable riding experiences with small groups and a highly personal approach.
Mixed Group Enduro Day Tours — Mondays & Tuesdays
Throughout the summer we offer two mixed-group enduro day tours designed for riders who want to experience Iceland’s popular landmarks in a small and adventurous setting.
Our Golden Circle ride combines iconic locations with remote gravel roads and mountain trails that normal visitors simply cannot access. We ride through beautiful landscapes, mountain tracks, geothermal areas, and remote routes aiming to bypass as much as possible of the heavy tourist traffic.
The day is not about rushing between landmarks, it is about experiencing Iceland properly. We stop for lunch in nature at carefully selected viewpoints surrounded by silence, fresh mountain air, and endless open landscapes.
The Lava Circle ride focuses on Iceland’s raw volcanic beauty. This route takes us deeper into lava fields, rugged terrain, remote valleys, and trails shaped by centuries of eruptions and shifting landscapes.
Every section of the ride offers something different: flowing gravel tracks, panoramic mountain views, and untouched wilderness that feels completely disconnected from the modern world.
Both mixed-group tours are limited to just 5 riders, keeping the experience personal, relaxed, and adventurous.

While our mixed-group tours are a fantastic way to experience Iceland, our true specialty is private riding experiences for small groups of up to 5 riders.
This is where we can go even deeper into the Icelandic highlands.
Private rides allow us to fully tailor every day around the group’s riding abilities, experience level, pace, and wishes. Some riders want long flowing mountain trails and scenic exploration. Others want more technical terrain, remote highland routes, river crossings, or challenging volcanic sections. With private tours, we can adapt the adventure to create the perfect riding experience.
We only offer day tours for a reason.
We believe guests should have the freedom and comfort to choose the accommodation style that suits them best, whether that means luxury hotels, private cabins, or cozy countryside stays in the surrounding area, as well as how many days they want to ride. Most riders choose to join us for three days of riding. This flexibility allows every guest to build their Iceland journey exactly the way they want it, while still experiencing world-class riding during the day.
Most importantly, we want every guest to feel comfortable, safe, and fully looked after from beginning to end. Icelandic conditions can change quickly, and riding remote terrain requires local knowledge, experience, and careful planning. This flexibility also allows us to pivot our plans accordingly and even switch riding days if needed to take advantage of better weather conditions.
