The solar eclipse on 12 August next year will bring a lot of people to Iceland, and with that comes crowded viewpoints, traffic, and limited flexibility on where you can actually watch it from.
At Arctic Trailblazers, we offer a straightforward alternative: we bring dirt bikes and riding gear directly to your location so you can reach a remote viewing spot the best way possible, on a dirt bike.
How It Works
We don’t provide accommodation. Instead, we meet you where you’re already staying, whether that’s a hotel, guesthouse, or private accomodation, and deliver fully prepared dirt bikes along with all necessary riding gear. You simply tell us where to meet you.
From there, you ride out with us to a carefully selected viewpoint that’s inaccessible to standard vehicles and far away from traffic and crowds.
Why This Approach Makes Sense
Most visitors will be tied to roads and parking areas. That limits both mobility and the quality of the viewing experience.

The highlands are one of our favourite areas to ride and offer excellent viewing conditions if you’re satisfied with a 99% partial eclipse. It’s a strong option if your priority is space, quiet, and being far away from traffic while still experiencing the phenomenon in a dramatic setting.
Westfjords – Best Overall Viewing
This is one of the few regions in Iceland where you can experience a 100% total eclipse at its strongest duration. It has dramatic view points and if your priority is the best possible eclipse experience, this is where you want to be.
Extend the Experience
While the eclipse is the main event, you can also ride for a few days before or after. This allows you to explore the region properly instead of treating it as a one-day outing.
